African Proverb of the Day: Moving towards the Goal

African Proverb: The moon moves slowly, but it crosses the town.

Interpreted Meaning: Think of Aesop’s story of the Tortoise and the Hare… even if you move slowly toward your goal, you will eventually get there. Fast doesn’t always equal best.

  1. Another good one, you are really posting wonderful things! 🙂 I saw you and your twin are having a birthday next month! I will remember, you twinnies will only be 27…Just babies yet! 😉 I meant that in a nice way! 🙂

    • Hahaha yeppers! It’s on President’s day in the US and it’s Family Day in Canada on the same day this year which makes it a holi-birthday. Talk about double up blessings lol 😀

  2. nightshade, your “photo” of the hare and the tortoise at the starting line is just too wonderful! “You’re going down”…priceless! Better to be steady and continuously moving forward towards the goal than to divert and/or “sleep” on the job!
