Hope Rains

Hope Rains

Hope Rains when in a desert,

the vast arrid places,

the souls desolate of a true life-spring,

will come again.

Hope Rains in the dark places of the earth,

Canopies cannot hinder this rain

that reaches for the crying land

and the weeping skies.

Hope Rains on the just and the unjust,

where silence tried to steal the truth,

the flood waters rain with thunder,

rushing forth in its justice.

When Hope Rains,

All that lies under,

Will be overcome by that Rain,

that will wash all sorrows away

and bring forth comfort in the life-giving waters.

Wipe away your tears,

for this rain will wash them all away,

“Open your mouth and drink!”

from this fountain of Hope ….

Let us rejoice for the time has come

for us to welcome this spring of Hope

as each droplet sings,

“Let it Rain”.

  1. These words, “Let us rejoice for the time has come
for us to welcome this spring of Hope
    as each droplet sings,
    “Let it Rain”.
—so very wonderful, as is this entire poem!
Hope is available to all, as you point out so
    beautifully here. Bless you!

  2. “Open your mouth and drink!” and I drank the last of my pop, lol! These days you guys have been an inspiration to me. It’s been tough, really, but I know His grace is sufficient for me. Thanks dear 🙂
